Most of us have gear we stopped using.

The old camera body. The lights in the garage. The audio kit from a project that wrapped years ago. For a veteran learning the craft, that gear is the difference between learning one day a month and creating every day.

We collect donated equipment and give it to veterans in our program who have a passion for filmmaking. It stays in their hands so they can keep shooting.

We never resell donations. Every piece goes to a veteran or to a training set.

Cinema cameras, mirrorless and DSLR bodies, camcorders and action cameras.

Primes, zooms, adapters, filters and matte boxes.

Lighting

LED panels, fresnels, tubes, modifiers, diffusion and light stands.

C stands, sandbags, flags, clamps, sliders and carts.

Audio

Recorders, wireless lavs, shotgun mics, boom poles and headphones.

Post

Laptops, hard drives, monitors and editing gear in working order.

Questions.

Is a gear donation tax deductible?

Light Inside Cinema Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations are tax deductible to the extent the law allows. We send a written receipt listing what you gave. Your tax professional can help you with the value.

Do you take broken gear?

Working gear helps most. If something needs a small repair, say so in the form and we'll tell you if we can use it.

Where does my gear go?

To veterans in our program with a passion for filmmaking, or to our training sets where veterans learn on it. We never resell donations.

Can I ship it?

Yes. Tell us where you are in the form. We cover shipping, or we pick it up depending on where you are.
