New Film Project Supports Local Camp for Deaf and Hard Of Hearing Children
Light Inside Cinema is excited to announce the launch of their latest short film project, Sweet Secret, an action comedy set in the 1970s countryside. The film follows two sisters as they encounter mobsters in a chaotic pursuit over a Tootsie Pop, leaving one sister unfazed and the other in shock.
What makes this project particularly special is its filming location: Camp Endeavor in Dundee, Florida. This unique camp, a staple in the community since the 1970s, caters to blind and Hard of hearing children aged 6-17. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances and a lack of funding, Camp Endeavor couldn't operate this year.
In response, Light Inside Cinema has made it their mission to raise funds to support the camp. By choosing Camp Endeavor as their filming location, they aim to bring attention to the camp's needs and generate the necessary resources to keep its doors open for future summers.
"Sweet Secret is more than just a film; it's an opportunity to give back to the community and support an incredible nonprofit organization," said a spokesperson for Light Inside Cinema. "We believe in using our platform to make a positive impact, and this project is a perfect example of that."
The GoFundMe campaign initially set up to fund the film will now also contribute to Camp Endeavor’s mission.

The camp requires approximately $120,000 annually to operate, and with the help of the community and generous donors, Light Inside Cinema hopes to raise as much money as possible to ensure the camp can continue its vital work.
Principal photography for Sweet Secret is set to begin on June 26. The team is enthusiastic about the project and optimistic about their fundraising goals. They encourage everyone to contribute and be a part of this dual-purpose initiative that not only aims to educate the next generation of filmmakers but also to support a beloved local institution.
